Nana Bompeh Sangmuah
President and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Sangmuah has over 20 years of international mining experience and provides Roscan with strong leadership skills and an extensive knowledge of the mining exploration industry and Capital Markets. Most recently, Nana Bompeh Sangmuah was Managing Director, Equity Research - Metals and Mining for Clarus Securities Inc. During Mr. Sangmuah tenure at Clarus, he successfully:
- Transitioned Clarus to become of one the leading financial mining institutions;
- Attracted institutional capital funds into a number of West African Mining Companies including Endeavour Mining, SEMAFO, Asanko, Cardinal Resources, Perseus Mining, Golden Star Resources, amongst others; and,
- Grew the mining capital markets profile and increased overall share trading volume at Clarus.
Prior to Clarus, he held other global equity research roles with Haywood Securities Inc. and Stifel Financial Corp U.S.A. Mr. Sangmuah holds a BSc Hon’s degree in Mining Engineering from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana, and an MBA from University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management.
Jun (Danny) Cao
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Cao has over 15 years of experience in mining finance and accounting in the mining sector operating domestically and internationally. Prior to joining Roscan, Mr. Cao has held senior mining accounting and finance positions with mining companies such as Barrick Gold (Corporate Office, Toronto and Porgera Gold Mine, Papua New Guinea), Agnico Eagle Mines (Detour Lake Mine, Timmins, Canada) and IAMGold (Rosebel Gold Mine, Suriname) and as a Consulting Manager of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC)’s Americas’ Mining Center of Excellence, with a focus on finance transformation and cost effectiveness engagements to global mining clients.
Mr. Cao holds a B. Eng. Mechanical from the Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and Certified Management Accountant (CMA) from CPA Ontario, Canada, and holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Queen’s University, Canada.
Pascal van Osta
Vice President - Exploration
Mr. van Osta has over 30 years of extensive mineral exploration experience throughout West Africa and the Guiana Shield with junior companies exploring for a variety of commodities including gold and base metals. He has been involved in the Morila gold deposit discovery in Mali and development of several projects from exploration through to mine construction stage including Samira Hill in Niger, Agbaou in Ivory Coast and Toroparu-Sona Hill in Guyana. He was previously the Exploration Manager for Sandspring Resources in Guyana and prior to this was with Etruscan Resources/Endeavour Mining working on the West Africa gold projects (Mali, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast).
Mr. van Osta is EuroGeo and graduated from the Free University of Brussels with a Master’s Degree with Honors in Geological & Mineralogical Sciences.
Chris Irwin
Corporate Secretary
Mr. Irwin practices securities and corporate/commercial law and has been the President of Irwin Professional Corporation since August, 2006. He advises a number of public companies on a variety of issues including continuous disclosure and regulatory issues; reverse-takeover transactions, initial public offerings and takeover bids. Mr. Irwin also advises boards of directors, including independent committees. Mr. Irwin is a director and/or officer of several public companies including: Seafield Resources Ltd.; Laramide Resources Ltd.; Canada Lithium Corp.; Trelawney Mining and Exploration Inc. and Ursa Major Minerals Incorporated. Mr. Irwin has served as a member of the independent committees for both Trelawney Mining and Exploration Inc. and Seafield Resources Ltd.

Christian Bantsimba
Consulting Geologist
Mr. Bantsimba is a Consulting Geologist with over 18 years of gold exploration experience in West Africa. He has held positions as a project geologist, senior geologist, project manager, and country exploration manager. Mr. Bantsimba was a former geologist with Iamgold (Diakha deposit discovery (2014) and the Boto deposit discovery (2012)). Mr. Bantsimba holds a M.Sc. from Queen’s University and has completed his Doctoral degree in Applied Geology (internships at IRD).
